Other Carnival by Imperial Glass


The below is a  listing of carnival glass that Imperial produced over the years as souvenirs and some items that were made for individuals and colors that was not in Imperial's regular line of glassware. Rubigold / Peacock / Rubigold & Peacock
Carnival on Milk Glass

These three different colors were applied over milk glass. Some of the glass items were made only in one of the three over sprays and other glass items were made in two and maybe all three of the over sprays. This glass was made as samples for Sears Dept. Stores, but Sears never approved the glass. These samples were then sold through the Imperial Gift Shop to sell it out. These colors never showed up in Imperial's Regular line of glass ware. Below is a list of know items made with this type of  carnival over spray. The overspray varied from one to the next, the value below is based upon the quality of iridescence on each piece.

6.) #400, 8" Large Open Swan, known in Rubigold over spray. $100.00 - $160.00
7.) #356, 10" Logenberry Vase, known in all three over sprays. $125.00 - $195.00

8.) #66C, 5 1/2" Crimped Hobnail Compote, known in all three over sprays.

9.) 6 1/2" Waffle Block Vase, known only in the Rubigold over spray $95.00 - $150.00

Amethyst Carnival Glass

There were three items that were made in Amethyst Carnival before 1973. All three items will have the (IG) Imperial Glass trade mark. These items are;

1.) 10 1/2" US Capitol Plate that was made for Ward Russell's Carnival Glass Club. $125.00 - $175.00
2.) 4 1/2" tall Zodiac Open Compote, made for Ward Russell while visiting the Imperial Glass Factory, only 13 made. $225.00- Plus

3.) 7 3/4" A.C.G.A. Souvenir Plate

$45.00 - $55.00

All these items can be considered extremely rare and hard to find pieces of Imperial Carnival Glass due to the very limited production of each item. The Amethyst color was later put into the line when Lenox took over Imperial , but all the pieces were then marked with the (LIG) trademark.


America The Beautiful - Plates

A.C.G.A. Souvenirs

12 Days Of Christmas - Plates

There were 12 plates in this series. The plates were made one each year for 12 years. It took the collector 12 years to collect the entire set of the 12 Days of Christmas plates. Follow the above link to find an article on the plates as well as pictures.
